To be the "angel investors" of nonprofits. Big donors are super bureaucratic and never want to take risks on new nonprofits. But the best new nonprofits are great, just as the best new for-profits are. So by funding new nonprofits, you can increase the efficiency of big donors.

It may sound strange, but being involved with technology as a user happens in a different part of your brain from being involved as an investor. When I use Doordash as a user I'm thinking about my pizza, not their latest round of funding.

Been watching this for a minute or so. Paypal breaks so often. When it does I think "What a POS," then a second later I remember that I'm a Stripe investor, and that this particular POS will eventually receive swirling, porcelain justice.
